Being part of a great karate club is such a privilege. As we close the dojo for 2023, we reflect on how far our students have come and how lucky we are to have such dedicated teachers in our sensei and senpais. We have faced several challenges this year and the club is going strong and spirits are high thanks in particular to our wonderful senpais who volunteered to lead training when Sensei Adrian was unable to take classes.
We held a grading on Tuesday 19 December. Five people graded from a vast range of ages – teenager to retirees – and all were successful. Well done to all who graded!
Thank you to the New Sydney Hotel for taking our very large booking of 15 for our end of year dinner. Four awards were given out for Best in Dojo, Leadership, and Achievement. Congratulations!
As for next year, we will be visited by a Japanese sensei on Friday 1 March and Nationals will be held 10-16 March in Queensland.
Thank you to everyone who trained with us this year. You really do make our club what it is.
We will return to the Dojo in January 2024, date TBC. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in training. Oss!
