Australian Karate legend Stacey Kirmos tragically passed away on 30 September 2025 in Queensland, Australia. TSKF Tasmania was founded by Stacey Sensei in 2015 and has seen many students thrive under his leadership. The family has asked that donations be made to Queensland Police Legacy in lieu of flowers.

Tasmanian students shared stories of Stacey Sensei’s integrity and friendship.
“He was so encouraging to me to take up karate in older age.”
“It is not often you meet someone who can do what he did for a group of strangers (our club). A true embodiment of a lifetime dedicated to martial arts.”
“Stacey Sensei helped me rediscover my love for karate.”
“He changed my life for the better, and I will forever be shaped by his guidance.”

TSKF Tasmania extends our deepest sympathies to Stacey Sensei’s family and friends and acknowledges his extraordinary and generous contributions to karate in Tasmania.
